On May 18th REGAGEN signed the MoU with national water regulatory Authorities from Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo in Tirana. The purpose of MoU is strengthening the future collaboration among regulators through sharing of knowledge, capacity building, regulatory mechanisms analysing and implementing join projects. All this future activities can improve current situation in the water sector in the region.

Association of European Water Regulators (WAREG) representatives were also present on the signing ceremony. The President of WAREG, Mr. Andrea Guerrini, said that „we fully endorse this Memorandum and we will offer our technical expertise and institutional support within our network of European regulators, in order to support regional cooperation on the crucial challenges identified by the four regulators in the Balkans and to help them getting closer to EU standards and to EU Institutions”.

The President of REGAGEN Board, Mr. Branislav Prelevic, said that synergy between regulators can improve current situation in the water sector in the region, due to the fact that there are similar problems. Furthermore, this can be improved through future joint projects, supported by EU partners.
